We understand the barrier between government services and local programs and participants and we work hard to connect as many individuals to the services they may need. We attempt to provide assistance to any consumer who contacts 1st Step Housing Consultants for help.
We provide individuals and families with free assistance to help them achieve successful enrollments into health coverage through the MNsure marketplace.

Housing Consultation and Assessments
are person-centered housing plan that we complete with you that tells those we may refer you to about barriers, challenges, successes, and important things you want people to know about you. It also allows you to tell potential housing case managers more about you. This form also helps to justify your need for services and tells potential case managers how to best work with you and help you obtain long-term housing. It can also let people helping you find housing know about your preferences for housing, what kind of neighborhood you want, what type of things you want to be near (like your doctor, faith community, or even favorite food market), and what features are important in a home for you (studio, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, utilities included, etc.) Let us partner with you and get as specific as you can so we can help you find your home.
